"OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO" dump in solution manager.

Hello Experts,

We have a dev version of solution manager 7.1 sp08.

and there is a dump that occures in the system daily twice, with error name "OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO"

and exception "CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL"  in function "E2E_ESREP_EXT_DX"

and I looked over SAP notes and found several notes to fix such issue but they don't apply to this support packge we're using.

Please help.

Better you can raise the OSS ticket to SAP because you already implemented the SAP Note as mentioned  by rishi abrol

There is one SAP note released related to similar issue #1319829 please see if implementation of this note avoid these dumps.

I didn't found any note for your 7.1 sp08. you may consider opening OSS to SAP.

Just to add if it is standard issue there should be some issue reported by sap or SCN. But it's not.

So this means that some thing was missed while configuration or some object was not active .

Can analyse it more if have access to full dump.

but as we have seen, one SAP note was discussing the same issue, but it is not applicable to sp08.

why would it be like that?

That was the first thought to pass the notes to see if the code changes are there in the system.

The error analysis in the dump says:

the exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF|_IS_INITIAL' was not couat in procedure 'E2E_ESREP_EXT_DX" (FUNCTION), nor was it propagated by a raising clause.

since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the exception would occure the current program is terminated.

the reason for the exception is :

You attempted to use a "NULL" objects reference (points to nothing)

access component.

An objects reference must point to an object )an instance of a class) before it can be accessed

aither the reference was never set or it was set to "NULL" using the clear statement.

Category: ABAP PROGRAMMING ERROR.

Runtime Errors: OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO.

When the dump occures I go and check which job failed and caused the error but I don't find any records!!!
