"Allow additional parameters": Why is it needed at all?

Hello Gurus,

I am using a Semantic Object for cross-navigation from the Fiori app in SAP TCode.

We have the "Allow additional parameters" property for Semantic Objects.

If this property is set to "allow" I get an error on the TCode screen when navigating (screen below).

If I do not put "allow", then everything is fine and there are no errors.

Can anyone help me understand what is the reason for this behavior and what is this property for?

P.S: I am not adding any new parameters to the Semantic Object.
