Hi All,
In case of LO Extractors, (2LIS_02_HDR, 2LIS_02_ITM, 2LIS_02_SCL in my case), if we have to do full upload, do we still need to run the setup in R/3.
Thanks
PB
Hi PB,
Yes of course, when u do an INIT or FULL update, you always have to setup the tables in R/3. (<b>OLI3BW</b>). Otherwise, you wont extract any data at all...

Thanks Jaykle,
This doubt came to my mind because, in the past LIS extractors were used in this project 2LIS_02_S012 ( not by me but my predecessor). and he has managed to laod data using full upload without filling up setup tables. Thats what is being told to me. I was wondering if this was possible in case of LIS extractors and not in case of LO? I have never used LIS exctraction, as I always prefer LO.
Anyway I will still award you points for this. But if u can clarify my doubt i would be thankful.
Thanks
PB
Hi PB,
a full upload for "old" data sources 2LIS_nn_Sxxx (linked to LIS info structure Sxxx) takes the data from the info structure Sxxx. If the data is correct and up to date there, then there is no reason for a setup run. A setup run for info structures can be done by calling transaction OLIx (x = application specific, 3 for purchasing).
A full upload for "new" data sources 2LIS_nn_evhie (where ev is an application specific event and hie usually is a hierarchy indicator (e.g. HDR or ITM)) takes the data from the setup tables, which are named like the relevant extraction structure + "SETUP". So this full upload can only upload the data that has been previously created by calling transaction OLIxBW.
Hope that helps,
Bernd Sieger
