Poll for file at specific period of time

Hi Folks,

I have to FTP a file from application server to FTP location. But I want PI to poll for file only between 3:00 AM to 8:AM. Is this is possible in PI?

Alternate approach I am thinking of is to poll for file at 8 AM daily. Please let me know your suggestion on what will be the best approach for handling this condition.

Did you Checked Availability TIme Planning option?

Regarding the best option:

It depends on your business reuirement....3 to 8 or at 8 .....it depends on the file size that you want to poll and also how many files you expect to poll....if the server has no issues in polling the availables files then you can opt for polling at 8 am....

this is available in the RWB.

select component monitoring > Adapter Engine > Communication Channel Monitoring

in the new window, in the top right hand corner - select Availability Time Planning

select start/end dates and times. select specific communication channel(s) then save!
