Oracle patch 5565308 for 9,.2.0.4

Hi all,

We have a system SAP 4.7 with database Oracle 9.2.0.4 on AIX 5.3 TL04, but I have to move this system on new hardware.

The new hardware required AIX 5.3 TL06 but Oracle version 9.2.0.4. has a problem with AIX 5.3 > TL05 (BUG 5496862 : IO READING PROBLEMS AFTER INSTALLING IBM TECHNOLOGY LEVEL 5).

I found, on Metalink, the patch 5565308 for Oracle 9.2.0.4:

   3284426 : STATUS 80 BUG FOR 2626703 FOR BACKPORT ON TOP OF 9204

   5496862 : IO READING PROBLEMS AFTER INSTALLING IBM TECHNOLOGY LEVEL 5 (5300-05)

   5565308 : MERGE LABEL REQUEST ON TOP OF 9.2.0.4 FOR BUGS 5496862 3284426

... but with Oracle Metalink access for SAP customers I can't download and into http://service.sap.com/swcenter-3pmain this patch is not present!

You have various options:

- upgrade to Oracle 9.2.0.8 (since your version is long out of support - as Oracle 9.2 is)

- upgrade to Oracle 10g

- open an OSS call and request the patch from the support
