Hi,
We are seeing some strange behavior while creating Webi reports on a
universe based on a HANA view or HANA table. An example would best
illustrate the issue:
Yr Mo Sales
2011 1 100
2011 2 200
In the above case if we remove the month while keeping the year, we get the correct answer:$300.
When we reinsert month we get a totals record with a null month.
Yr Mo Sales
2011 1 100
2011 2 200
2011 300
The query SQL seems to support this result since it has 2 SQL statement:
one with year/month group by (initial view and another with a year group
by (for when month was removed) with a union between the two.
Any insights would be appreciated.
Thanks.
If you are able to systematically reproduce this in the latest available patch level, this is something we would be eager to address with a support investigation unless you already opened an incident
thanks
Simone

Hi Simone,
I discovered that this behavior was caused when using delegated aggregation for measures. Delegation seems to be SAP's (Pierpaolo Vezzosi of Solution Management) recommendation with HANA based universes. When I change the aggregation to SUM, it works as expected. I have also created a customer message with SAP for this issue since it is something we are able to recreate consistently.
