Hi Folks,
I have tried to give the namespace as my name VENRAGO, the system accepted it, is'nt it mandatory that the namespace should start with http://xyz.com, or urn:xyz.com,willl there be any problems in the future,(getting support from sap etc).
thanks
VEN
You should follow the standrds for defining the namespace Name, when you create the namespace, it will not validate for the naming conventiond...
you have the naming convention like Https:
or URn which doesnt necessary point to the webresource or protocol...it might lead to problem just check, i have not tried giving without these standrds yet.
But i think it will create probelm

We should follow the standrds, based on that only it validtes, i didn't try, but as of my knowledge it will problem in future.

Its just a convention to use a namespace starting with http or urn. U will not face any problem in future but if u have not implemented it yet, then it is better to use a namespace following the standard
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml-names/

hi
its good practice to create namespace usin convention like HTTP or URN.
IF u want to use OBjects provided by SAP is standard IDOC ,RFC or BAPI then u need to follow naming convention ie http or Urn format.
For other scenarios its ok if u dont follow convention but that will not be good practice
hope this will be useful.plz reward points
Thanks
