We are a SAP partner and host a SAP All-in-one solution for let's assume 10 customers. They all have their own ECC, BW and Portal instance for production.
My question is:
do they all need to have their own XI production system or should we go for one XI production system?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Hi,
A single XI production server will do but it will in turn arise 2 types of situations.
1) If there is a single system, then u should prevent SPOF (Single Point of Failure)
2) Using the single system may hit the performance. Load balancing could solve the problem in this case

Might sound a stupid question, but what does SAP ALL INONE solution imply?

Hi Arends,
you need only one XI prod system - you will have technical systems configured for each customer in XI in SLD....Then you will have Business system configured for them in XI in SLD.....and then from XI prod system you can send data to all customers, SAP R/3 system etc.
