Dear community,

I tried to use the SAP MDM Generic Extractor (tcode: mdmgx) and followed the Help Portal Documentation (Setting Up Initial Load | SAP Help Portal) and used also Using the Master Data Management Generic Extractor (MDMGX) for Initial Load in MDG-F

The required object type (COMPANY) exists, the "Define Repositories and FTP Servers" is technically correct. The set up is done according to Master Data Governance for Financials | SAP Help Portal.

Nonetheless I get the error message MDM_GX_MSG005 "No customizing entries found for this extraction".`

  • What could be the source of this error?
  • How can this error be corrected?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

MDM_GX_MSG005 is a generic error message that can be caused by a number of issues. To determine the exact cause of the error, you will need to review the error logs, application logs, and system logs for more information on what caused the error. Additionally, you can use a debugging tool to help diagnose the issue. Once the cause is identified, you can take the appropriate steps to resolve the issue.

The source of the error message MDM_GX_MSG005 is likely due to a missing or incorrect customizing entry for the extraction. To correct this error, you will need to check the customizing settings for the extraction, and make sure that the entries are correct and up-to-date. Once the customizing settings have been verified and corrected, the error should no longer appear.
