How to calculate no. of records behind the DataSources

Hi All,

I am using PS DS

I am on DEV server. I want to calculate no. of records on QA and PRD before transporting.

How to calculate it?

-Without activating dataSource on SourceSystem how could I got the no. of records of Extractors, to be Extracted on BW-PRD server.

Go to help.com ---> check your datasource --> it will show you the tables on which the datasource is based ---> Check the tables to get the number of record

or

Go to RSA2  --->  check your datasource --> it will show you the function module on which the datasource is based --->  Take help of an ABAPer to create a PRGM and use the function module within the program ---> This will give you the number of records

Hi,

create one key figure as the count.(ZCOUNT)

in transformation form data source to traget make it ZCOUNT key as constant 1.

after activate the transformtions and trigger the DTP.

while loading the data it will count each record 1 finally take the count.

it will useful at designer level calcualte the values.
