I'm using ChaRM / Solution Management and I have a Transport / Change Request number but I don't know how can I find this CHRQ in ChaRM/SolMan without the Urgent Change ID.

I found out a way to properly treat orphaned CHRQs, change requests, which are not assigned to the Urgent Change package in ChaRM / Solution Manager.

If orphaned CHRQ is not released yet, then:

  1. Open desired Urgent Change, press on Edit
  2. Go to Transport Management section, click on More, Assign Transport Request
  3. Type desired CHRQ number in Request/Task field, click on Search
  4. Select found CHRQ, click on Assign Transport Request
  5. Go back to the Urgent Change, press Save

Now your formerly orphaned CHRQ is assigned to the Urgent Change and can be transported to the targeted environment.

If orphaned CHRQ is already released, then:

  1. Open desired Urgent Change, press on Edit
  2. Go to Transport Management section, click on New Transport Request
  3. In the new window give a meaningful transport description
  4. Specify Request Type (workbench/customizing)
  5. Press on Create, the window will be closed
  6. Copy aside newly created Transport ID, press Save
  7. Open SE01 in the environment where the desired CHRQ is located.
  8. Type the desired CHRQ number and press Display
  9. In the opened CHRQ tree, double click on the relevant Task Number. In the opened table, copy aside the content of the columns of the relevant objects:
    a.Program ID
    b.Object Type
    c.Object Name
  10. Open a new window of SE01, type the Transport ID from the step #6 and press Display
  11. In the opened CHRQ tree double click on the relevant Task Number
  12. Switch to the Edit Mode and paste the content from the step #9 to the columns of the relevant objects:
    a.Program ID
    b.Object Type
    c.Object Name
  13. Press Save

Now you have a correct arranged Urgent Change package with CHRQ, which can be released and transported.
