Configuration to output English, Chinese, Thai and Korean in 4.6C

Hi experts,

May I know what are the setups required to allow the following languages to work on 4.6C - English, Chinese,Korean and Thai?

We can't move to Unicode at the moment and currently we are using the Blended codepage 6200 which only support English, Chinese and Korean.

How to configure the system to allow all the languages mentioned above to work together so that we could have printout in the different languages?

Thank you.

Hi David,

If unicode-base solutions are not applicable, you can use a single standard codepage for new installation and upgrades. If additional languages or language combinations are needed, the MDMP(Multi-Display / Multi-Processing) solution is available for existing installations. SAP does not recommend, however, to use an MDMP setup for new installations. Due to technical restrictions of both SAP blended codepages and MDMP setups, reconfiguration of SAP blended codepage to MDMP is also not recommended.

Hi Su,

Thanks for the answer.

But we already have code page 6200 setup and hence just need to add in language Thai.

The problem now is we don't know what other solutions are available apart from MDMP? Even going from ambiguous code page 6200 to MDMP seems like not feasible(from your reply)? Do you know what are the consequences if MDMP is converted from blended codepage.

Do you know of any way that all the languages could co-exist without going on MDMP?

Thank you.

Rgds,

David
