Introduction:

I am delighted to announce the successful completion of my latest showcase on integrating ChatGPT with SAP S/4HANA, revolutionizing customer communication. In my previous blog post, we discussed how Adapt UI with screen personas can transform SAP GUI screens into intuitive and feature-rich interfaces, streamlining support executive tasks. Building upon that, we now delve into the exciting realm of chatGPT integration with SAP S/4HANA. This latest sensation topic has garnered significant attention in recent months, and in this blog, we explore its potential to automate sales order queries/manage outbound delivery statuses, and more.

While Adapt UI with screen personas cloud/On-prem has already made a remarkable impact, our focus now shifts to the automation of critical tasks using chatGPT and SAP S/4HANA. By leveraging the capabilities of chatGPT, we can enhance the user experience, drive efficiency, and reduce manual effort in various processes.

This milestone showcases the power of AI-driven automation and demonstrates how businesses leveraging SAP S/4HANA can enhance customer experiences. In this blog post, we will delve into the details of our integration, highlighting the technologies employed and the significant value it brings to SAP users.

Integration Overview:

Our integration journey involved leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create a seamless and intelligent customer communication experience. By combining Microsoft Azure Logic Apps, the SAP Sales Order API, Office365 mailbox integration, cloud connector to communicate with SAP system and OpenAI's secret key for ChatGPT.. I am showcasing below robust solution that automates email responses based on real-time SAP API data.

I agree..Definitely GDPR is everyones priority and we are taking all necessary steps to ensure data security by utilizing decoding methods with chatGPT to make the data unreadable. Anyway thanks for your suggestion and will make a note of it for future reference.

Hello BHARANIDHARAN S P M,

You can use HASH function and the SHA256 algorithm or SAP encoding functions while providing data (Decode while sending info to Client)to chatGPT, it will make data unreadble and confidentals data stay hidden to chatGPT. you can achieve it by simple Javascript too while calling SAP API. Though there are alot of info available on this topic, i will plan to write another blog on this (if time permits..) Here are few blog & sap forums you can check.

Hope you will explore more deep on data security with chatGPT and share your  experience!! Good Luck.

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is not solely focused on encryption; it is a comprehensive data privacy law enacted by the European Union to safeguard individuals' personal data. GDPR encompasses various aspects such as data collection, processing, storage, consent, transparency, data subject rights, and more. While encryption is one of the security measures recommended by GDPR to protect data, the regulation addresses a broader spectrum of data protection practices and organizational responsibilities to ensure individuals' privacy rights are respected.

We have to be extra cautious feeding Customer data to applications like ChatGPT.

I Agree with renukaprasad.basavaraju.

In my blog we are just providing ORDER number: xxxx to chatgpt which doesn't make any sense to chatgpt what it is. But YES if we are intend to feed more data (client data/confidential) we should take all necessary precaustions, encryptions, Security Setup Parameters, Ethical and Responsible AI, application of traditional Data Security to Gen AI security etc. Finally we are responsible for our own data/ clients confidential data. right?

But as you all already knew that major companies are already using AI models in their organizations in live.. Don't we think they have already taken ALL necessary precautions and security measures!! Obviously answer is YES. So if we want to adopt AI, definitely we should be more careful WRT Data so that we can opt AI tremendous features joyfully.

Google: Google is one of the leading companies in the field of AI. They use AI in a variety of products and services, including search, translation, and self-driving cars.
