Hi,
I would like to understand the meaning of the Gating Factor Date mentioned in the View Gating Factor App.
How is it calculated and what is the base date it is using? (Requested Date?)
SAP help does not provide an actual explanation or example of how it used.
Thanks.

Hi Harald,
Gating Factor Date is the requested date of the supply that is in conflict with the constraint. Requested date means the date when this supply would have to be executed in order to be consumable in-time by the independent demand it is pegged to.
A better way to understand it, is selecting the line in View Gating Factor and then navigating to the order network. In the order network you actually see the supply element the gating factor is assigned to and its requested date (i.e. the gating factor date).
Best regards,
Matheus
