FIORI : Is MDG/MDC required to perform Start Mass Maintenance for Business Partner in S4 Fiori

Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to perform Business Partner Mass Maintenance without MDG/MDC in S4HANA Fiori.

The requirement is to perform BP Mass Maintenance in S4HANA Fiori.

I've activated below OData Services, related ICF nodes, system alias created and required roles assigned.

ZMDC_PROCESS_SRV__1405
ZMDC_PROCESS_SRV__147
ZMDC_PROCESS_SRV__194
ZMDC_PROCESS_SRV__986

I'm in BP Start Mass Maintenance and getting error message as "No process template for goal Basic Mass Update and OTC 147 does exist".

Is Process Template config is must to perform BP mass maintenance?

How this can be fixed.

Hi Suresh,

you need to configure MDC, i.e activate the BC Sets related to MDC and the odata services.

I followed your blog, however unable to get the desired results. Is there any other config to be performed, other than mentioned in the Part 1 blog. Please advise.

Is MDC config required for Start Mass Maintenance as well. Kindly inform.

Hi Suresh,

Please share what is the error.

The one which you have shared previously is because your BC sets are not active.

If you are facing some different error, you can post them here.

Otherwise, you can raise an SAP incident to get help from Product support team.

Below is the error I'm getting when running Start Mass Maintenance of BP.

I've maintained the BAdI MDG_IDM_GET_LCL_SYSTEM to determine to local system., however still getting the same error as 'No Source System maintained for source record of process'.

Am'I missing any other config. Please advise.

Hi Suresh,

Please check MDCLOG/SLG1 t.code to see what exception was raised.

The error related to the source system is just a warning, so I think it can be ignored.

Also please use the Mass processing products app for doing mass updates.
