Process change pointer for vendors

In CFC9, the change pointer method is chosen for vendors. Now, do I need an Integration model for vendors that is activated each day or do I need to run the program RCPTRAN4 periodically?

Hi Sajeev,

if you have set the changetransfer in cfc9 to '1 ALE Change Transfer, Periodic ' you have to run the program RCPTRAN4 periodically to transfer the changes of vendors which are included in an active integration modell to SCM.

Two remarks:

(1) Ensure that you have always an Integration modell active for the vendors which are SCM relevant. Changetransfer works just with an active IMO!

(2) Please note that you have to regenerate the IMO on a daily or weekly basis (depends on your scenario) to get new created vendors in an active integration modell. This will also trigger the change transfer (change pointer processing) of existing vendors. In other words, if you regenerate the IMO on a daily basis this will also transfer the changed vendors to SCM.

cheers!

Hi Sajeev,

As datta mentioned, integration model is required for vendors.

When you use change pointers as options, it is basically active

during changes.

Those changes will get updated via change pointers into APO

system. But to maintain transfer of data, it is essential that an

active integration model is needed

Hi,

As long as you need to get transaction data transferred between SAP ECC (or R/3) and APO systems, you need to keep an integration model active for the specific materials, vendors, plants etc.
