Hi,
I'm not techy, just a business user of CLM. There is a batch job that runs twice a day. It imports masterdata (vendor, material) from ECC. It started running on 4/27 and is still in Running status. Another job hasnt been able to run ever since. So, I have new vendors in ECC that I cant import in. How do I kill the job?

Go to SETUP - System Administration - Background Task Status and select in the drop down "Pending Daemon Events. This would list all the background tasks which are pending. After several retries of a background task the trashcan would appear on the right side of the line of the task. Click on it, confirm and the task will be removed.
Of course you should investigate first why this task is not completing and resolve the blocking factor, this could be enough for the task when it retries to pass through. You can see the cause by selecting in the dropdown "today's daemon alerts" or daemon alerts since date in your case and select the date when you had that first occurence and then; when you see the line with the alert click on it for the details.
Hope this helps you.
