Hi,
Im trying to finalize the production job setup for our ERP to SRM PD and PA replication. Im interested in knowing how other sites have set this up.
Do you have a delay step/job between each object type (O,C, S and P) replication to make sure that the previous process completes before the next one starts up?
What control steps/jobs do you have in place to ensure that the correct people are notified or the next object isnt replicated if the pervious object type encounters invalid return codes/errors?
Thanks,
Jerry Martinek
Hi Jerry,
I did the org structure replication from one EBP client to another EBP.
Not tried for R/3 HR to EBP.
But I think the methodology shold be same.
First you need to create a distribution model in the source system with correct message type (HRMD_ABA & HRMD_B )
then generate the partner profile
distribute this model to partner system
Then transport the org structure with
trx PFAL
first with messaeg type HRMD_ABA which will transport
org units ( O level)
then with message type HRMD_B which will transport attributes
then you can download users from the source system and upload the same in target system with USERS_GEN trx.

Hi Jerry Martinek,
Based on my experience, I would advise you to execute the job manually. The reason is that you have to verify the status of the IDOC in both systems (i.e ERP & SRM) and need to take action if required.
As for the notification, I didn't try so far.
Let me know if you need any other info.
