Electrification is not a new concept for the travel and transportation industry – railways have been electrifying infrastructures for decades and so did urban transit companies that operate light rail or commuter rail services.  Unfortunately, there is still a significant fleet of carbon-based locomotives and an entire fleet of trucks, buses and utility vehicles utilizing carbon-based fuel contributing to climate change across the globe.  Meanwhile, the automotive industry has almost unanimously promised to go electric in the coming years, but where does that leave travel and transportation operators?

Senta earned his MBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and resides in Palo Alto, California. He has been with SAP for over 10 years and is currently responsible for the solution portfolio from SAP for Rail and Transit industries as well as the emerging space of Mobilities as a Service (MaaS) solutions that SAP enables for the Urban Mobility Ecosystem.

Joerg Ferchow currently holds the role of Chief Solution Expert at SAP and is responsible for detecting market trends and creating impactful use cases that help customers transform into digital enterprises. He has been with SAP for over 20 years and is skilled in business model innovation, enterprise software, experience management, and mobility solutions for the transportation industry. Joerg has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Regensburg.

 

Ulrich Scholl
Global Vice President New Mobility at SAP

Ulrich Scholl is an experienced product strategist with over 20 years of tenure with SAP. He currently holds the role of Global Vice President of New Mobility with SAP, responsible for supporting the growth and industry relevance for SAP solutions for Industry Mobility. He is especially skilled in business process, enterprise software, intelligent applications and enterprise architecture. Ulrich is also a strong product management professional with a Certificate focused in Data-Driven Strategies from University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Computer Science of University Karlsruhe.
