Foreign Currency Valuation?

Hello,

I'm hoping that someone could help me find more information about Foreign Currency Valuation specifically in Oil and Gas industry.

How does or should it work?

How do you determine what accounts get valuated and which one's don't using GAAP Rules?

Is there any documentation available and where?

I'm looking for any information that can help me on the accounting side and systems side as i'm trying to learn as much as i can about this specific process and its flow.
