Images in old blog posts are not accessible

Recently, I noticed that some images on blog posts created before the migration to the current platform are not accessible. The screenshot below is from one of my blog posts.

I hope this will be fixed, as blog posts with broken images are less appealing and harder to understand.

I experience the same issue. When I open the picture e.g. in a new tab, I see a "403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access url". Multiple blog post are affected.

It is the same for me as well. In all my blog posts the pictures are missing.

Blogs are a lifeline for SAP community members and we depend a lot on them for solutions and fixes. Hope this is resolved soon.I cannot open images in this blog:

Requests to images are being responded with HTTP 403 (Forbidden). Hope this issue gets resolved by SAP quickly.

As a workaround, goto https://web.archive.org/ and enter the blog URL. You may find a recent cached page of the blog. Atleast you see the images if it's urgent. WARNING: The blog might be outdated if it's an old snapshot.

Hi Team , We are also facing an similar issue where the images of the blog post are not available after migration to the new platform

I regret to have to make this observation, but the fact that this was reported last Wednesday and is still not fixed is yet another indicator of how little SAP values the community. If the community were valuable to them, they would have made this a top priority and fixed the problem within a few hours. (And please; I am not aiming this at any individuals - it's the company that is at fault here). Moreover it is wrong to mark this as solved when the issue is not solved, especially when there is a site-wide notice that links to this page.

@martinc_mb My bad, it's my own responsibility (not SAP) to mark this answer as a solution to make it read by everyone before they post "mine are concerned too".

SAP has done nearly everything to make the blogs and community Q&A as ineffective as possible

Previously, it was easy to get answers to any question, but now even SAP itself seems not to care about this portal

It's very sad

What is the latest update on this? Is SAP even working to correct this?

Hey
there's another workaround, copy the blog title (not the link) and search it in Bing, it will show the pictures on the preview and you may download them (the quality is poor and yet helpful)

A quick update: The issue has been escalated with our vendor. Again, I'll announce here when the issue has been resolved or there is anything newsworthy to share.

Hi, i'm facing the same issue on this blog "https://community.sap.com/t5/enterprise-resource-planning-blogs-by-sap/vat-support-for-eu-cross-bord..." and none of the workaround proposed solution worked for me.

I'm sure that my comment will accelerate magically the resolution or will force SAP to say every hour "the vendor is restoring the images" 😄

@jerryjanda If it takes this long to get a fix from the vendor, it seems you need to change vendors. Or develop something yourself. After all, SAP has a massive arsenal of solutions, how can they not have something to power a discussion forum?

Announcement from SAP:

Sandra_Rossi_0-1730119930049.png

From Adnan_Mohiuddin:

"Issue seems to be resolved, pictures showing up now." (November 1st)

I could also verify it's true for all the blog posts mentioned in this thread.

From @manu-r (this workaround works only for a few blog posts; for the others, you will have to wait for the SAP solution): "As a workaround, go to https://web.archive.org/ and enter the blog URL. You may find a recent cached page of the blog. At least you see the images if it's urgent. WARNING: The blog might be outdated if it's an old snapshot."

Please stop commenting that you have lost your images. Generally speaking, when using a Q&A website, please read the whole comments and answers in the questions before adding your own comment.

The workaround may work or not, it depends on the limitations of https://web.archive.org/. The current answer has been updated to inform the people.

@Sandra_Rossi Instead of arguing about the link which does not even open on company laptops as that site is restricted , can you please let us know any timeline on a solution for this issue.

@anuroopagrawal Ask SAP, not me. I'm not affiliated to SAP in any way.
