Hi.
This is mostly a BW question, but indeed related to BPC, which is why I did ask it here.
In BW, when you create applications in BPC, there will be created two fact tables E and F in BW as a BW dictionary table.
This fact tables is by BPC created with the technical settings for logical storage parameters:
Data Class: DFACT
Size Category: 4 (expected data records 500.000 to 2.100.000)
Now my question is, will it do any difference to performance if we change the size category?
We do have around 30.000.000 records in our E-fact table.
Best regards

Did you thought of Archive option in BPC ?

Hi Raju and Sonti.
Thank you both for your responses.
Raju.
I already have the categories in my system. So I think I will try and see if it has any effect performance-wise switching to a higher category. Have you tried that?
Sonti.
No I did not think of the Archieve option. What is that?
Best regards

Hi,
It seems like by default system will create fact tables (both E&F) with size category as 4 for any type of application.
Search following note for more details.
Note 123546 - Extending the permitted size categories
Hope it helps...
regards,
Raju
