Hi All,
Does any one has Step by Step Data Migration approach from SAP ECC to S/4 HANA.
We are currently on SAP S/4 HANA 1709 On Premise Edition and would like to migrate the SAP ECC content to S/4 HANA.
I have found two SAP Notes
SAP Note 2239701, 2538700 and 2495932 as a reference.
Will SAP Information Steward be included as a part of S/4 HANA License? We want to suggest Data Cleansing and Profiling option to the Client. Currently there are 26 Data Objects to be migrated
Would appreciate if dirk.venken and brandon.jacobson can comment on this

You can distinguish between 2 approaches:
1/. Data migration. SAP Note 2239701 is the entry point to the DS-based package that can be used as the basis for such a project.
2/. System Conversion. See https://www.sap.com/services/data-mgmt-landscape-transformation.html for a description of System Landscape Optimization.
IS is not included in S/4HANA license. Only the DI component of DS is.You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Hi Dirk, Julien, Shazin,
Thanks for all your valuable inputs. Our Client is using S/4 HANA 1709 On Premise Edition and they dont want to procure SAP Data Services. No chance of buying Information Steward 🙂
They are happy with basic ETL capabilities of SAP Data Integrator and want to proceed with Data Migration.
I have suggested them the SAP Best Practices and RDM Approach.
