Selection of input products in production orders

Hi,

Imagine to create a production order for a product being specified.

In the BOM of this product is a (raw-)material set to "batch-handled" in the material master data (eg. steel).

When trying to select this raw material the system uses the product specification to search for the raw material - which will certainly not being found.

There is currently no way to tell the system not to use the product specifiaction. Any ideas how to solve that. The product specification will always be different to the batch# of the raw material (eg. steel)

Hi Klaus,

If I understand right your question, in the production order (before release) you can force the stock-id of the component. Don't search it (the system search only specified components), but write the id code and press Enter.
