hi all,

i had created Release procedure for Requistion

i have 3 relase codes first person can approve 50 k , second one upto 1 lakh third one above 1 lakh.

where & how does values have linkage to codes in relaease process.

hi there

you can define the characteristic for the particular release procedure

define the value for that characteristic in itself

mention multiple values over there on basic data tab and select data type currency format

Hi Sridhar,

You have to create 3 release strategies for this scenario. Depending on the PO value as characteristics the release strategy will be triggered.

Release strategy 1: RS1---Assign one release code RC1to this for 50,000

Release strategy 2: RS2---Assign 2 release codes to this for 100,000; RC1, RC2

Release Strategy 3: RS3---Assign 3 release codes to this for >100,000; RC1,RC2,RC3.

Hi,

There is no value attached to any release codes.

The way it works is as follows

You set up the release strategy and use the PO value as a characteristic.

You then specify which release codes can release (and any links between them for sequence etc.)

This means that the only link between any value and the code is the value used in that strategy.

So you DON'T assign a value to a release code, you assign release codes to a release strategy (and that has a value check in it).

Many people assume that you give authorisation for a release code to be able to release up to X value, this is simply not true. You just give a user authorisation to use that release code and the release strategy controls which codes can be used.

Relerase Strategy-> Classification
