Mass update of Mtrl Master fields using MM17, (different values each)

Hello Sap Gurus,

I Have to mass update one of the field in Material master i.e costing view, "future planned price,"

here i have some 1000s of Materials but each material will have a different costing Price to be updated separately.

How can i update this individual different values in the costing view of the material master using MM17,

I'm told we can also Mass maintain and Mass update different values each to the material master fields through MM17,

please guide with steps to do this as this is quite tricky i feel,

Hi, 

I think it's possible to do what you need by MM17, without creating an LSMW.

You should use the button I put in evidence in the screenshot I attached to this post. By that button, you have to upload a text file containing:

- the key fields for the table you want to update in MM17 (in my case it's MARM), so in my file I have the first column for MATNR and the second for MEINH

- the fields of the table that you want to update (in my case it's MARM-UMREN). Here, every material can have, at the limit, a different value of UMREN with respect to the others.

Uploading that file, I will have the ALV grid in MM17 (I mean the list I circled in red in the other picture I attach here) populated with the entire list of values that I want to be written in material masters.
