Currency translation have no data in group reporting module even all prerequisite have been met

Hi all, 

Upon complete configuration for currency translation, we still cannot produce translated results after executing the "Currency Translation" under "Data Monitor" with all below prerequisites are met. The only log show that "the selection should include base unit" which does not look relevant as it is only for currency translation. There are no logs for investigations as well.

I have already done below setup.

• Maintained translation ratios and exchange rate for "Rate type" = "CLO".
• Defined exchange rate indicators "C" and assigned to the rate type.
• Created translation method "S0902" with selection maintained and assigned to consolidation unit which are expected to translate from Local currency to "HKD"
• Assigned currency translation attribute to the FS items with "S-CT-BS-CLO"
  
  

  After execution of currency translation in "Data monitor". No translated data were generated and no relevant log can be shown for reviewing the root cause in error shown in the task details.

  Would anyone know the possible root cause of issue? Thanks in advance.

Did you checked and activated the currency translation?

thanks for the screenshots - from my pov it looks fine (you are currently not using any rounding step in the C/T (rounding steps need to be flagged as such next to the sequence number) - are all relevant OSS message implement for your release - if, yes I would raise an OSS message

Hi Stta, yes, i have raised message to SAP support portal but they did not provide any solution. FYI. I have also just added the rounding steps but the result gave no difference comparing to previous situation. I am just thinking if it is due to any configuration in "Define Selection"

Not sure whether any relevance to the breakdown category assigned to the FS Item specified in C/T method.

I assume in the selection you only have FS item and Subitem included. If yes, I have currently no idea what else could cause the problem.

Hi Stta, in the standard config, yes for only having FS item and subitem. But it is strange that system prompt error to tell me that I must include the base unit and the document type in the selection. So I followed the error message in order to erase the system error alert. This make me so confused as I don't think I will need to include any dimension other than FS item and Subitem. Thanks again for keeping provide insight to me.

please go to tcode CXD1 and check, if the method is been marked as "Checked and error-free" as well as "Active"

Can you please provide a screenshot of the overall steps and the specific step (I assume the selection itself is also marked as active) - in case you use rounding in the FX conversion can you please make sure that a doc.type with business application "Rounding" is in place for GC value only
