Re-creating a Custom Field with the Same Name After Deletion in S/4HANA On-Premise

I have a question regarding the on-premise version of S/4HANA(2023). In the Custom Field app, is it possible to delete a field that has been extended and then re-create it with the same name? For instance, if the field type was incorrectly registered, I believe it would be necessary to re-register it.

Cause

It's not possible to create a new custom field using the same Identifier of a previously created and transported custom field, even if it's already deleted.

Resolution

You can use the same Label, but you must use a different Identifier for your new custom field.
