availability check running for both production orders but NOT for planned orders

hello,

in our case, availability check is configured:

• for production orders via OPJK (availability check rule: PP)
• for planned orders via OPPR (availability check rule: PP)

Though, while running mass availability check via COHV (reset and run material availability check) for both planned orders and production orders, only the production orders get confirmed committed components.

example via CO09:

• 100 in stock
• 16.01.2023: Order reservation (production order) of 50 PC. 50 PC confirmed (reserved)
• 17.01.2023: Dependent requirement (planned order) of 25 PC. 0 PC confirmed (reserved)
• 18.01.2023: Order reservation (production order) of 25 PC. 25 PC confirmed (reserved)

Can someone explain to me how can i get the planned orders availability check executed via COHV. Is it a missing configuration?

hi Jacob, thanks but these paths do not exist in S/4 HANA:

SPRO > Production > Capacity Planning > Availability Check > Define Availability Check Rules) to ensure that the correct availability check rule (PP) is assigned to planned orders.

SPRO > Production > Capacity Planning > Availability Check > Define Mass Availability Check) to ensure that the planned orders are included in the mass availability check.
