Hi all,
I have created a parameter in my report in order to filter my results by posting period.
However when I execute my report, I can only select one posting period.
How can I modify my parameter so that I can select a range rather than just one?
Any help mych appreciated.
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
You might want to create two parameters instead of one meaning a "start date" and an "end date" for getting the postings between that period.

Hello John O'Brien
1. define 2 lines parameter as 'from date' and 'to date'
2. click on the u2018u2026u2019 button beside the u2018Transaction rowu2019 field, and you will find Posting date (sales-AR for example. )
3. assign the parameters of date range to Posting date then u2018Applyu2019
or you can
3. you can define the posting date range by setting the Attribute as posting date, operater as >= or > and the date value, please do the same thing for the next line as well to make this setting as a range.

Hi,
You can define two parameters, one is named From Date, one is To date. When you apply the parameter, use < and > function to apply them.
Also I think you can run the report in a job where allows you to choose multiple parameters.
To do so,createa package and Job in XL Reproter Organizer window. Drag the report definition to the package, and drag the package to the Job.
Right click on the job, choose properties. Here in Parameters window, tick the box 'multiples'.
Hope this helps.
