Hi experts what is the technical definition for INFOTYPE. and How it is different from Tables.
Hi Vamsi,
An INFOTYPE is a collection of 'information' in a table, used to store HR information in SAP HR. It essentially consists of structures for holding data, for maintaining time-delimited information.
Infotype is a database table in the basic sense, but there are concepts of Logical Database (GET events, and predefined macros like rp-provide etc) associated with HR, and hence a slight deviation from the standard tables.
Hope this is helpful, and feel free to ask more doubts.
Thanks,
Vivek Shah
