Error with AJRW

Former Member

I am doing a test run of year end closing in our test client. I have posted all depreciation through year end. I have executed AJRW in test and got the green light.

When I uncheck the test button and execute AJRW in background, I receive the following message:

Company code is not in last posting period.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Let me ask you a question first.

Is your company in test mode or production mode?

If Test mode: If your company code is in test mode than may be opening up the future periods in OB52 will work as suggest by Markus. Note that your company code should be in test mode to execute this AJRW any given time.

If Prod mode: You will not be able to run AJRW until your company's last period matches with your SAP system date. You will be able to perform this transaction only when your company is actually in the last period i.e. for Calendar year Jan - Dec, you have to be in December month to execute AJRW in production mode.

This is the perfect answer. Thank you so much. Although I am in a test client, I had changed the company activation to 0 from 2. You are correct. That is why I received the error.

Once I switched it back to 0, everything was great. Thank you so much for your answer.

Hi,

you can open a future year first in the last posting period of the current year for the company code ...

Thanks for the quick response Markus. When you say open a future year first, I am confused. Do you mean execute OB52 and open the posting period for 01 2010? Or you do mean I should execute AJAB prior to AJRW?

Thanks!!
