Delivery date determination in schedule lines in sale order

Hi All,

Please help me with the below queries.

1.A sale order will be created by an inbound idoc. This idoc contains a date field at item level. My query here is, how can we know what exactly the date in the idoc??

2. How a delivery date is determined in schedules of an item in sale order??

2. it is on bais backward scheduling if it fails then forward scheduling determine the delivery date.
