Delete Equipments in SAP

Hi All,

I try to describe my problem. I need to delete a lot of equiments. So I follow the procedure that I have found in the library and here, in the forum. These are the steps:

1. The delete flag should be set for the Equipment.

2. Run program RIARCEQV via SE38 transaction and enter in the Equipment.

3. Then execute program RIARCEQA via SE38 transaction, which will create a file.

4. Execute program RIARCEQD, and select the session from above step 2, after executing which will delete the Equipment.

I have checked that the equimpment is flagged for deletion (so the first point is ok). But when I run program RIARCEQV as just described above, I receive this messagge in the log display: "archiving not possible usage found".

What's the problem related to the usage found? Is there anybody who can give a hand in order to solve my problem?

As mentioned by SN, that equipment might have been attached to any FL, notification, order or other documents.

Please remove the assignment of the equipment. If equipment has been assigned to notification, do TECO of notification. If that is order, do the Business completion of those orders.

Then run these programs to archive.

So, how can I see the dependencies? In other words: is it possible to find in which (for example) order or something similiar, the specific equipment is used?

The only way is by clicking the "network" button. Can you confirm this statement?

Ok, many thanks.

But my aim is only to delete a lot of equipments (near 2000). I can't delete/archive them one by one. Is there an automatic/massive procedure?

Equipment Usages can be found using the Program: RIARCEQ1 for Equipments.

It will list the usages for each equipment like: Measuring points, Superordinate equipments, Serial no history, notifications, orders, BOM etc

With this Program u can check the usages of the respectives equipments and take proper actions for this depedent objects.

set the appropriate status for this usages like TECO and completion and set deletion flag for Orders

NOCO for Notification complete and set deletion flag for notifications

Dismantle Equipments from installed FL and set deletion flag for Equipments etc

Then run the archieving process/steps..

sorry If I disturb you but these are my first steps. Now, can you give me an explanation about measuring points? How can I delete them before archiving and delete the equipments?

As mentioned by you ' archiving not possible usage found " means this equipment somewhere ..like workorder , notification etc. check and complete then try archiving
