Consolidation ledger - Best practices after the 2020

Dear experts,

We are begining the build of SAP Group Reporting, and we have a question concerning the consolidation ledger.

After release 2020, now the consolidation ledger is 1G (or 1C) with new reporting logic.

In your best practice, can we build and exploit the application on this ledger, or do we have to create one dedicated to the customer ?

Hi Maxime,

Well.....The Group Reporting ledger actually is deprecated (deleted) I thought with version 2020 but perhaps it's 2021. Everything now is focused on the VERSION. In 1909 and 2020 you had both Version and Ledger and they were essentially the same thing so they decided to get rid of Ledger and just have the main differentiator be the Version.

I'm sure there are blogs and such out there that describe this transition.
