On April 26, 2024, we had the opportunity to host the SAP Architecture Summit for the enterprise architect community in #Brazil. Over 100 participants from various clients joined us at the incredible venue, the SAP Business Campus. This venue will be SAP's home during April and May, showcasing the latest and most relevant offerings to our clients, featuring technology presentations, innovation discussions, and more
The event was charged with incredible energy from start to finish. We began with a recap of the last summit in 2023, highlighting key points emphasized by our head, Gianluca Battaglini. In the morning, we delved into SAP’s overall strategy, emphasizing ongoing advancements in Artificial Intelligence and how Enterprise Architects support and guide this strategy. We then engaged in hands-on activities, focusing on the challenges of Enterprise Architecture within corporations. We detailed the importance of Lifecycle & Roadmap work, how to construct it, the main challenges, and the artifacts that are generated and governed from this effort.
One of the SAP Brazil clients shared their perspective on the challenges within their company, implementing enterprise architecture methodology, and structuring processes. A key observation was the importance of demonstrating the relevance of enterprise architects within a corporation, and how their deliverables support the executive board in decision-making and steering the company towards success.
In the morning session, our artificial intelligence lab team presented the corporate AI strategy encompassed in SAP products - an eye-opening moment showing where General AI is beginning to make a difference.
After a content-rich morning and information exchange, we had lunch, where all participants had the chance to network and further energize our community.
In the afternoon, we met all expectations as we explored the full suite of SAP tools, the SAP TRANSFORMATION SUITE. We demonstrated the importance of this toolkit in supporting Enterprise Architecture by effectively mapping out the technological landscape, classifying and valuating the portfolio, and building roadmaps that align with the corporate strategy. Before diving into the technological solutions necessary to advance corporate strategy, we emphasized the critical importance of understanding and mapping processes, their significance for the business, and the paths of interest that can bring sustainability and effectiveness to our process execution. All supported by the tools provided by the SAP TRANSFORMATION SUITE strategy.
These were the key moments from this incredible day of the summit here in Brazil, a day filled with many opportunities, learning, and collaboration.
