Ahha... Coffee Corner is back and was away for so long that members think it is a new idea. Oh je... where have all the flowers gone? 🙂

SAPGui already existed long before MS Teams offered this type of co-working option in SM04. It was not a commercial strategy of SAP at the time but rather a lonely kernel developer who thought it a good idea to offer a screen sharing option for admins which the user can optionally know about. I have been using it since 1992.

SAP then did away with it (in SM04) in 2000, possibly because home office was not trending at the time... 🙂

Because it didn't work with the Enjoy-Controls anymore.

I dont think it ever worked with any controls available to the enjoyable user, as the user typically did not know that they were in a meeting with the SAP Basis team... The Session Echo was way ahead of it's time and used state of the art ok-code command technology to pass op-codes to kernel functions which would share your screen with someone else, or, their screen with you and your mates.

The components needed in the architecture to get that far makes one wonder what unnecessary components are installed or exposed or offer a feature all over the place... 😉
