The 5th Annual Lesbians Who Tech (LWT) Summit 2018 in San Francisco delivered a brilliant blend of rock star keynote speakers (literally, Tegan and Sara), deep technical talks, and the most diverse group of tech conference attendees you will ever see – each of which contributes to the unique magic and infectious energy that’s felt throughout the three-day event.

Since its inception, SAP has been a sponsor of the LWT Summit, bringing forth technology, thought leadership, and a large contingent of recruiters eager to engage with Silicon Valley’s top talent, and, in fact, talent from all over the world. Year over year, the LWT Summit has grown, reaching a tipping point in 2018 as more than 5,000 attendees flooded the historic Castro Theater and surrounding establishments in San Francisco’s LQBTQ district.

In parallel with the growth of the conference, SAP’s presence has also amplified. This year, more than 25 employees were in attendance. Collectively, the SAP team delivered three demos, three SAP speaker sessions on topics such as scaling AI-driven products, solving complexity through design, and the future of work, as well as nonstop action at the recruiting booth where potential talent and eager techies lined up to speak with SAP employees.

The roster of diverse, female keynote speakers at this year’s event was unmatched by many technical conferences, with Leanne Pittsford, Sheryl Sandberg, Kara Swisher, Megan Smith, and Bozoma Saint John, just to name a few.
