Sap services failing (New installation on Linux)

Hi everyone,

I need some advise here thanks.

OS version : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.2 (Santiago).

DB: Oracle 11g R2

Symptoms : Services starts failing and try to restarts, after restarting fails the CMS stops.

The following screenshot is the server status right after the new installation.

Hi Yue Seng, how do you solve this issue?

I have the same problem, with the image of server, initializing Connection Server...

I've set ulimit parameter as unlimited... but log error still there every 10 seconds

You should check the IP name resoultion for your server "XXXXXX".

Than you could check, if sny software is listening on the ports which needed to eb contacted:

   netstat -tnlp

should do the work and would show open listening tcp ports.

Problem solved. It is due to the -ulimit is not properly set.

Please check your firewall settings. Do a quick check: stop firewall service and try to start BO again.

Which is the user you are trying to start services?

Please start SAP services with SIDADM user, or the user who has rights to services.
