Get started

The package can be downloaded for free by SAP customers and partners. You can follow the included step-by-step guides yourself to get started directly or you can work with SAP or partners. SAP or partners offer consulting services that are tailored to the rapid-deployment solutions and are designed to accelerate time-to-value and provide predictable results.

Download the package simply by following the below few steps:

1) Go to SAP Screen Personas rapid-deployment solution's page http://service.sap.com/public/rds-ui-personas

2) Check the scope and software and delivery requirements on the page

3) Tab on the orange button on the right hand side Download package*

4) Select the link Installation

5) Download and extract the ZIP file to your local hard disk. All documentation assets will be available offline on your desktop

7) Chose start.htm to open the Content Library to flexible select or deselect scope items as you need them and get the related configuration guides

For requirements for SAP Screen Personas 3.0 SP01, please refer to SAP note 2175479, particularly with regard to up-to-date information on SAP Kernel.

For requirements speifically for the rapid-deployment solution read the Software and Delivery Requirements document that Christina references in her blog post above.

The Configuration Guide: Getting Started document provides information on how the files you need for the example files and on where to find them. In particular, section 3.2.1 Download Example Files for Flavors and Screen Elements on page 12 details where to find the files in the SAP Software Download Center. This document also explains which of the downloaded files are relevant for each of the scenarios.

The best way to find the Configuration Guide: Getting Started document is either on the Service Market Place page for the SAP Screen Personas rapid-deployment soluition  at http://service.sap.com/rds-ui-personas or the note 2057775 that is referenced at the foot of that page.

You can download the RDS content for free with your S-User. In case your S-User has not automatically the download authorization, you can request it via the SAP Software Download Center and your Super Admin: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/importantcontacts (https://support.sap.com/swdc.

*. We have followed the steps provided in the https://personasgalleryimagineering.us1.hana.ondemand.com/PersonasGallery/#/Flavor/137/

and we imported RDS SO (BP_PERS_FLAVOR_FIORI_SALES_ORD.zip), BP_PERS_IMAGES_FIORI.zip,

However, we encountered below issue after we imported those RDS.

1. There is no launchpad (screen shot attached below)

2. There is no theme as it mentioned in the gallery.

3. File BP_PERS_ICONS_FIORI.zip cannot be imported in personas admin (icon,theme, flavour)

Any missing steps ?

if you have imported the Flavors of BP_PERS_FLAVOR_FIORI_SALES_ORD.zip you should see the following Flavors

• UPB_FIORI_POST_GOODS_ISSUE (VL06O)
• UPB_FIORI_CREATE_OUTBOUND_DELIVERY (VL01N)
• UPB_FIORI_CREATE SALES_ORDER (VA01)
• UPB_FIORI_LAUNCHPAD (SMEN)
• UPB_FIORI_CREATE_BILLING (VF04)
• UPB_FIORI_CREATE_INVOICE (VF01)
• UPB_FIORI_CHECK_BATCHES (VL02N)
• UPB_FIORI_CREATE_DELIVERY (VL10)

starting transaction /personas/flavors with search criteria "Flavor Name" value "UPB_FIORI_*"

Select a Flavor and OPEN, the details to the Flavor are displayed. in the section "Sharing/Assignment" your user should be listed and Assign must be flagged! Then the Flavor is visible for you.

In this package we do not use Theme

The Icon Import functionality was not implemented when releasing/publishing this package.

you have to extract the *.zip file manually and upload the images for the icons in Screen Personas by editing the Flavor. This is described in detail in the package docu.

We have successfully executed  Fiori templates (fiori) flavors from /PERSONAS/LAUNCH

However, we cannot find flavors for the generic one ,even we have extracted from RDSPERSO01P_1-70000625.zip

RD...zip -> RDS_PERSO_CONTENT -> SAP Screen Personas -> ERP_content -> Editor_3.0.1 -> Generic_Example

here you will find all "generic" sources.

Actually, we already extracted from /personas/admin tcode . However, when we are searching in /PERSONAS/LAUNCH  we cannot find the generic example .
