ABAP & XML

I have more information about my previous post.  When a database field is empty, I need to build out a URL request and will receive an XML response.  I have examples of what both should look like and it makes sense.  I just need to know how to accomplish this through SAP.  SM59??  WebServices??  Direction toward training and a full solution would be greatly appreciated.  TIA

You'll have to read and train a lot then. Search the blog posts and ABAP documentation about "XML transformation". Converting an ABAP variable to an XML string is called "serialization", the reverse is called "deserialization".

Thank you, @Sandra_Rossi !  This morning I've already come across @Joris blog from 2019 about XSLT transformations and I have his example working.  I also saw your add-on post about simple transformations which is great information.  I agree, I have a lot to learn quickly!

Thank you for mentioning serialization and deserialization.  THAT'S the stuff I don't know to look up!!!
