Pros and Cons of ODP-CDS against ODP-SAP DataSource

Dear Experts,

I am new to ODP-CDS datasource technology and would like to compare between ODP-CDS (based on ABAP CDS view) and ODP-SAP (based on Classic DataSource).

During the requirement gathering workshop, we plan to use the following datasources:

- 0FI_ACDOCA_10

- 0CO_PC_ACT_10

1) If we go for ODP-CDS option, are there any standard CDS view providing the same data as above datasources.

2) What are the Pros and Cons in using ODP-CDS compared to ODP-SAP (e.g. performance, SAP provided content, etc)? When is the right time to use ODP-CDS option?

3) Generic datadource must be with ODP-CDS? No longer customized datasource in RSO2

ODP-CDS supposed to support extraction/consumption of CDS views built in source system.

ODP-SAP is for standard/generic (RSO2) extractors, but exposed via ODP-SAP.

No pros-cons because there is no link between two.

There is no 'right time" to use CDS-ODP option since if there is no CDS view then it can't be used...

If you need to use 0FI_ACDOCA_10 extractor then you can use it via ODP-SAP only (and via old SAPI context).
