Dear All, i have finally install IDES 4.6C on win2k with sql2k, i am very new to SAP and i am trying to learn SAP MM, The notes i have for learning SAP is from SAP Acedmy in which they use diffrent set of data i.e.
PO type Standard PO
Vendor T-K12A##
Header/Org. data
Purchasing organization IDES (1000)
Purchasing group LO020-## (T##)
Company code IDES (1000)
Item data: Item 10
Material T-RM1##
Order quantity 100 pcs
Net price (Proposed by the system)
Plant 1000
Storage location 0001
*********************************************************
But i am not able to find these vendor and these materials in IDES some one let me know what should i do in order to learn this.
The IDES uses client 800, whereas the SAP tarining classes uses client 400. The actual data records between these client is not necesarily the same. If you have a valid SAP license you could contact you SAP account representative en request the client 400 export files

Hi Zeeshan,
First I would check if your friend's IDES CDs have the same part numer as yours Check the file CDLABEL.ASC in the root of the CD. If you open this file with notepad, the CD part number will at the end of the first line and is something like "Number 5xxxxxxx"
If you and your friend both used the same export CDs to install the IDES than the data should be identical. I would next check that you are both logging into the same client.

Hi Zeeshan,
As far as i know you need to create those vendores and materials... IDES is used for quite a lot of demo and education scenarios so im almost sure that you need to configure it to match your needs. The system probably come with some default vendors, company codes, etc... but most likely youre not gonna have the same ones that you have on your book.
Hope this help.
