HTML-Template for a professinal user transaction

Hello everybody,

we have created a new transaction (new application) on WAS 6.40 + external ITS 6.20. If the transaction is set to Professional user transaction (PUT) it works technically just great, but the layout doesnt fit our needs. On the other hand, if we switch to EWT the layout looks pretty nice, but we run into some technical problems on the frontend (F4 Help Pop-ups etc). So the idea we have, is to get a mix of both transaction going somehow. So is it possible to get a hand on the html-templates of both the EWT and the PUT our transaction does use? (we havent created any services or something yet)

regards,

Markus

did you had a look at the WEBGUI (HTML) from the integrated ITS. Since you are on WAS 6.4 you could simply use the integrated ITS for applications based on webgui. and the look and feel is much better.

Thank you for your answer, but we can not use the internal ITS Services of the WAS 6.40 - customer restraint.

Anyway, what we wanna do is:

- use the technincal capabilities of the WebGui (SAP GUI for HTML) as a Professional User Transaction with a minor modified layout (color, company logo). The EWT doesnt fit our needs!

- use this new layout, just for our and future application, so we wont affect the standard applications, thus we cant modifiy the standard HTML-Sytles of the WebGUI!

So is it possible to copy the HTML-template of the WebGui and use it for just our own application (as a Service?)

Hello Markus,

I doubt that this can be done easily. Services other than webgui have a one-to-one match between dynpro screen and template (so every dynpro has its own template). With webgui, there are a number of generic templates that are not mapped to specific dynpros. I cannot perceive a way to get the webgui templates to a service.

You could, of course, heavily modify webgui itself (or a copy of the webgui service), but it would be difficult to limit this to a single transaction (as webgui itself is meant to be used as a GUI to access all transactions).
