Error in iView "Universal Worklist"

Former Member

In the (EP 6.0 SP 10) folder "Content Provided by SAP -> com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl" the iView Universal Worklist can be found. When we execute it, it works fine, but as soon as we click on one of the items in the UWL (e.g. a Purchase order) we are simply getting a blank page. It seems like the link to the detail iView doesnt work - any ideas to what the problem might be will be appreciated and rewarded.

Best regards Kurt

Hi Kurt.

Check this OSS Note: 802383 Workitem detail or "Personalize View" leads to blank page

I have given the contents below.

Symptom

A non-administrator user clicks on the workitem detail ("subject") or the "Personalize View" control, and a blank page comes up in either case.

Furthermore, if UWL logs are enabled, the following message can be found:

(...)

#Error##Java###Error looking up url:

portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/iViews/com.sap.netweaver.b c.uwl.iviews/com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.uwlDetail

[EXCEPTION]

#1#com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.PermissionControlException: Access

denied (Object:

portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/iViews/com.sap.netweaver.b c.uwl.iviews/com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.uwlDetail)

Other terms

KM, EP-BC-UWL, Personalize, Detail

Reason and Prerequisites

EP 6.0 NetWeaver 04 SPS9 or SPS10

Solution

A Portal administrator must add the Everyone group to the UWL delivered iviews.

Go to "Content Administration" -> "Portal Content" -> (left frame) "Portal Content" -> "Content Provided by SAP" -> "End User Content" -> "Standard Portal Users" -> "iviews" -> "com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.iviews" (Right click on this)

"Open" -> "Permissions"

A permissions view is opened in the right frame of Portal.

At "Assign new permissions", search for "Everyone" in "Groups", and press "Go"

Check mark the "Everyone" and press the "Add" button.

Lower right frame "Assigned permissions" should now show "Everyone". Check mark the "End-user" box.
