SAP IBP compatibility with SAP GRC 10.1

Is IBP compatible with GRC? Can we use GRC for IBP security?

Hi Argha,

In the Cloud, there is a new solution IAG(SAP Cloud Identity and Access Governance) https://help.sap.com/viewer/product/SAP_CLOUD_IDENTITY_ACCESS_GOVERNANCE/latest/en-US

which includes GRC and it is based on SAP Cloud Platform.

Existing GRC customers would need to upgrade to SAP Access Control 12.0 https://help.sap.com/viewer/5dc9d8a804e04d47b85ad57abd84bbde/latest/en-US to integrate with IAG.

From the IBP side, we are currently testing the integration between IBP and IAG. When the tests will be completed, it will be evaluated in which IBP release the integration between IBP and IAG will be released.

ivan.andreis : Is IBP connectivity with on premise GRC 12 available now or in the future. If IBP connects with SAP GRC what are the functionality of GRC can be used for IBP, is there a ARA rule set available for IBP.

Is there any details on how IAG can provision groups or teams to the cloud applications (SF, IBP, Ariba, SAC). We have IAG integrated with GRC 12 and IBP for provisioning for business roles but does it provision groups for IBP, SF, Ariba or Teams for SAC?

You can integrate IAG with IBP 100% and also utilize the IAG-GRC AC 12 Bridge. Is there a specific scenario that you are facing an issue with?

You need IAG to integrate with GRC 12. You cannot integrate IBP with GRC 12 directly.

Hi Varun,

I heard back from the IBP Dev. team that the integration with GRC was postponed and there is no exact release defined yet, when this will come. Once it's officially on the roadmap, the IBP Product Management team will rollout additional details for it.
