Employee ID vs User Name in IBP

Dear all,

we currently use manual user creation in IBP with a corporate IdP. We found several sources where SAP says it is wise to keep Employee ID (Employee) and User Name (Business User) the same

We have the situation where our matching Windows Username say DOEJOHN will change to PUBLICJOHN on marriage. However, his personnel number (from SAP HCM) will remain stable say 00012345.

My questions

1. Is the advice to keep Employee ID and User Name the same in IBP coming from the fact that on mass import (CSV) of an employee the business user is created automatically with the same User Name as the Employee ID?
2. If we not go for mass import, would we be theoretically better off to have Employee ID as personnel number (00012345) and User Name as DOEJOHN (and eventually later PUBLICJOHN) or would this still be advisable to keep Employee ID and User Name the same?

It would be advisable to have user name and employee ID as same.

It is easy to review the users and sync with the user profiles.
