Legal SAP training

Hi,

One of my friend wants to start training institute and planning to conduct training courses on all sap modules with his company legally. I told him that private trainings on SAP are not legal, may be need to take authorization from SAP AG. But he told me that Lot of people / companies are giving SAP trainings legally but they mentioned in their website that their company has no affiliation with SAP AG and they are taking IDES server access from SAP.

Is it true, i had a strong feeling that private trainings are not legal but even his points also made me to think. Please clarify us.

Hi Sri

As most of us are aware that there are many "institutes" in India which offer training (and sometimes certification too!

Just to make things simple, please tell your "friend" to write to SAP Education India Office (Bangalore) as they take care of all authorised education centers in India - Material, Certificates, fees, etc.

Lastly, please tell your "friend" to provide the details of those centers which claim to be legal but are not a part of the centers on this page > http://www36.sap.com/asia/services/education/centres/partners.epx
