SAP GRC BRM : Route Role Approver to Techanical Role Content Approver when updating Business Role

Hello,

We have a requirement to Route Role Approval workflow to the Technical Role Content Approver when updating Business Role with that Technical Role, not to the Business Role Content Approver.

I know we can create a BRF+ based on the role type and other attributes, but the question here is how to trigger role approval workflow when we are updating role type BUS with SIN or GRP and only send the approval to role type SIN or COM or GRP role content approver but not to BUS content approver.

Hi Ramesh,

Good question!!

I guess, the role approval workflow still can call to your Business role changes to invoke the workflow and all you need to find a way in your custom logic (copy from function module GRAC_MSMP_ERM_ROLEAPPROVER) to get the list of single role from given business role (standard logic method GET_BUS_CONTAINED_ROLES) and isolate the newly added role then find the approver for that particular role in order to return to your custom logic function module to determine the approver.

The above might sound complex but requirement is complex as well 🙂
