REMAINDER MAIL IN KM

Is their any chance to get remainder mail to end user Through KM.Can you please guide me on this?

What do you mean by "remainder mail" - maybe a "reminder mail"? If that's true, what do you want to remind end users of? Please be far more specific...

Dear Detlev,

Thanks for replaying ,

End user have authorization to update news in portal KM, For example that news will available 1-3-1012 to 15-3-2012.we will maintain like that so next day again we need to publish new News.

So before oneday i need to send remainder mails to end user who have authorization.

OK, we are talking of reminder (not: "remainder") mails concerning Time Based Publishing.

The answer is yes, but only by devleopment. However, in a very supported scenario. The question has been asked (and answered) a lot, but SAP has not migrated the old KMC forum content yet (this is a very open and very big issue).

Anyhow, the way to go is to implement a scheduler task, just similar to the existing TBP tasks and check if there are resources which will reach their publishing-end-date within the next x days or so, and in that case, send a mail to the author.

Or you do it by using a report (that also needs to be developed). Nice thing about the report is that the results are stored in the KM.

Kalyana,

you can use the following example reports as a starting point

• Simple Report
• Customer Report

These are made for EP 6, so you'll have to adjust them and do some research in the KM API. At least the Simple Report will deploy almost out of the box in an EP 7 portal.
